About the job

As a Service Engineer, you are the face of HatchTech, representing us with pride and excellence. Our customers will always be glad to see you. Below is a glimpse of what your role entails:

Installation and Commissioning: You will install our in-ovo sexing machines at the customer's location, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Service and Maintenance: You ensure the machines continue to operate efficiently and also install product improvements (upgrades).

Training: In terms of technical expertise, you will share your knowledge with colleagues and local technicians (employed by the customer). You will document your expertise in manuals and instructions.

Troubleshooting: As the primary point of contact for service and maintenance, you’ll assist customers both on-site, as well as through a phone helpdesk (during office hours) or a support service (outside office hours).

Customer Satisfaction: After your visit (or remote support), our (hatching) machines will be running smoothly again.

You will learn the role primarily through hands-on experience, as you’ll be working with a unique piece of technology. The position is not physically demanding, but it requires strong technical insight, particularly in pneumatics and electronics. In addition to in-ovo sexing machines, HatchTech also develops incubators, meaning you’ll be part of the entire process.

Most of our customers are within a day's travel from our headquarters. But we are growing! Our machines will likely be operational in the United States soon.

Who are we looking for?
You! That is, if you’re still enthusiastic and believe this job is the perfect fit for you. We’ve put together a short checklist that summarizes a few essential qualifications and preferences:

• You have at least a (nearly) completed technical MBO-4 education and possess technical expertise. Graduates with a relevant degree at the HBO level are also a good match for this role!

• You communicate clearly and effectively in English.

• You remain calm under pressure and have a customer-focused attitude.

• You’re willing to travel regularly. The standard is two weeks with a maximum of six travel days, but if the schedule demands, you could be on the road for up to twelve consecutive days per month, including one weekend.

• Willingness to participate in the on-call service.

• Our office is in Veenendaal, so it’s preferable if you have a manageable commute time.

• Depending on your background and experience, your salary range will be between € 3,700.00 and € 4,675.00 gross per month, based on 40 hours.

• If you're a recent graduate, your starting salary will be €3,000.00 gross. As you gain experience within our company, you can expect your salary to increase in the coming years.

• Fair compensation for on-call duties.

• You’ll receive 26 vacation days, and if that’s not enough for your travel adventures, you can opt for an additional 13 ADV days (both based on full-time).
