Imagine traveling the world, working with the most innovative (incubation) machines available, and taking on new challenges every day. At HatchTech, as a service engineer, you will have the opportunity to push boundaries, both literally and figuratively.
What will you be doing?
Lots of great things! As a Service Engineer—you can also write Field Service Engineer on LinkedIn—you can count on our customers being happy to see you. You will visit customers, mainly hatcheries, to solve technical problems and perform maintenance. You will ensure that our advanced installations remain in top condition for customers worldwide. After your visit (or remote assistance), our (hatching) machines will run like clockwork. If you do your job well, our customers will be delighted with you!
Traveling is a cool part of your job. Your average work week consists of one day of travel to the customer, three days on location, and one day of travel back, but it is also possible that more than one customer visit is planned per trip. In addition, there will also be weeks when you go to a location nearby, allowing you to go home at the end of the day.
The nature of the technology you will encounter is very diverse. Electrical engineering, control engineering, and mechanical engineering, you can bet that you will encounter all kinds of things. And you know how to deal with that. Good tools and materials are, of course, half the battle. We take care of that! Just like we take care of good support and planning.
As a Service Engineer, you are not just the face of HatchTech, you are its figurehead. Some of your tasks will include:
On site, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing HatchTech incubators and climate, heating, and cooling systems, as well as chick transport systems;
You will provide training and advice to customers' technical services;
You will analyze malfunctions, either on site (during routine checks) or remotely when you are on call;
You will resolve and respond to customers' technical issues;
You will draw up a report on the contact or visit for the customer visited and internally.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is as technically skilled as Messi, but with their hands. The amount of work experience is not that important to us. We are open to both starters and experienced candidates. What you don't know yet, we will teach you! If you can check off the following points, we think you might be a good fit:
If you have little or no work experience, we require a technical MBO degree.
Practically minded HBO graduates are also welcome to apply!
If you already have work experience and a demonstrable affinity with this job, we do not require any specific prior education.
You enjoy working independently and are good at it. Once you have been trained, you will be working on your own, so you can decide for yourself what music to play.
Your appearance makes you the perfect HatchTech ambassador.
You speak and type English well.
You have a driver's license.
We are located in Veenendaal, so we would prefer if you don't have too long a commute.
What you can expect from us
So much for the notes on our song. Now it's time to tell you what we have to offer. It's quite a lot, so sit down:
A great job for 40 hours a week with lots of variety, freedom, and room for further development, so you won't be bored for at least the next ten years.
We reward you with a very good salary.
When traveling, you will receive €75.00 net per full day abroad. That adds up nicely.
A nice allowance for the on-call shifts you work.
You will receive 26 vacation days, and if that is not enough for your travel adventures, you can opt for an additional 13 ADV days (both based on full-time employment).
A smartphone and laptop that you can also use privately. Travel allowance. A well-organized pension.
You will be joining a successful and exceptionally innovative company.
You can become a shareholder in HatchTech and share in the success of our company. We believe in ‘sharing is multiplying’.
You will work in a brand-new office: a beautiful, energy-neutral, and green location, close to the A12 motorway and Veenendaal-de Klomp train station.
